Bret speaks and writes frequently on regulatory, criminal law, and compliance issues. He has spoken at events hosted by the American Conference Institute, the Pharmaceutical Compliance Congress and Best Practices Forum, the Homeland Security Law Institute, the Practising Law Institute, the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics, the Pharmaceutical Internal Audit Forum, and has co-chaired the American Conference Institute’s annual conference on FCPA & Anti-Corruption for the Life Sciences Industry. He has served as a faculty member of Seton Hall Law School’s Healthcare Compliance Certification Program in California and New Jersey. He has been quoted in reports by Corporate Crime Reporter, The FCPA Report, and Global Investigations Review.
Bret has co-authored articles published in Securities Regulation and Law Report (Bloomberg BNA), Prevention of Corporate Liability, Current Report (Bloomberg BNA), White Collar Crime Journal (Westlaw), Privacy & Data Protection Journal, Financial Fraud Law Report, and Lexology (Association of Corporate Counsel). Bret is also co-author of a chapter on the FCPA in Seton Hall Law School’s Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Compliance Manual and co-author of a chapter on “Publicity: The US Perspective” in Global Investigations Review’s The Practitioner’s Guide to Global Investigations. He is a recipient of the Burton Award for Distinguished Legal Writing.
